Refrain from manipulating the treatment area for 3 hours post-treatment. DO NOT receive facial treatments, laser treatments or microdermabrasion after Botox injections for at least 10 days. Ask your provider if you are not sure about the time frame of a certain service.

We recommend that you over-emphasize movement in your treated areas for a few days after treatment. This movement is believed to help the neurotoxin find its way to the muscle that received the injections, providing optimal results.

DO NOT lie down for 4 hours after your neurotoxin treatment. This will prevent the neurotoxin from tracking into the orbit of your eye and causing drooping eyelids.

Results may take 4-7 days post-treatment to appear, with full results expected after 2 weeks.

If the desired result is not seen after 2 weeks of your treatment you may need additional neurotoxin injected in the target area. Please plan a follow up visit with us 2 weeks following the appointment to review results and determine if a touch-up is needed.

Refrain from performing activities that involve straining, heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for 6 hours after treatment. This will help mitigate migration.

Do not wear a tight fitting hat or helmet for 24hrs.

Try to avoid UV rays for the first 24hrs. As always, you should wear a good sunscreen daily and we can help make recommendations of our favorites!

It is best to wait until the following day to apply makeup and a good mineral based makeup is recommended.

Most importantly please contact us if you experience increased pain, redness or swelling, blisters or itching, following your treatment.

You can expect a mild redness, light swelling, tiny red flecks, and a tight warm sensation (similar to a sunburn) for the first 12-72 hours post-treatment.

It is preferable you avoid makeup for the first day, following treatment, but if you must wear it please wait at least 2 hours after.

As with all peels and treatments, it is recommended that makeup not be applied the day of treatment, as it is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest overnight; however, makeup may be applied 15 minutes after the treatment if desired.

You will be sent home with PCA SKIN Post-Procedure Products with instructions to use three to five days or until flaking has resolved.

It is recommended that other topical, over-the-counter medications or alpha hydroxy acid products not be applied to the skin seven days post procedure, as they may cause irritation.

It is recommended to delay use of tretinoin, Retin-A®, Differin®, Renova®, Tazorac®, Avage® EpiDuo™ or Ziana® seven days post-procedure. Consult your physician before temporarily discontinuing use of any prescription medications.

Avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat. Use Weightless Protection SPF 45, Perfecting Protection SPF 30, Protecting Hydrator SPF 30 or Hydrator Plus SPF 30 for broad-spectrum UV protection.

Do not go to a tanning bed for at least two weeks post-procedure. This practice should be discontinued due to the increased risk of skin cancer and signs of aging.

Do not pick or pull on any loosening or peeling skin. This could potentially cause hyperpigmentation.

Do not have electrolysis, facial waxing or use depilatories for approximately seven days.

Do not have another treatment until your clinician advises you to do so
